Our Child Care Expertise
Our staff brings years of experience in early childhood education, plus a wealth of knowledge and credentials. We are active in our community, constantly learning from others in our field to improve our child care expertise. Most importantly, we bring passion to our work – with families, child care professionals, child care advocates, local employers, and the children of central Indiana.
Our experience
We have been right where you are
Our experience as
Parents of young children
Many of us are parents, too. We know the struggles and joys of finding just the right program and teachers to care for our children. We’ve seen first-hand the importance of building a relationship with our child’s caregiver. We also know what it’s like to act as our child’s first teacher.
Our experience as
Early childhood professionals
Our collective experience spans the range of roles in early childhood education. We’ve taught all ages from infants to college students. We’ve served as center directors and office managers. We’ve held roles as coaches and trainers. Some of us share our expertise at conferences with other early childhood professionals.
Our experience as
Community resource specialists
We not only have a passion for two-generation community support, but many of our staff have also worked in roles directly supporting underserved populations. Staff have a wide range of experience at various non-profit organizations and have built a number of strong relationships in central Indiana.
Our experience as
Business professionals
A number of our staff have served in Human Resource departments or worked in corporate roles supporting businesses with data, communications, and training. We know how important child care is to a company's bottom line and how it affects recruiting and retention. We have directly experienced the power of local leaders to affect change.
Our experience as
World citizens
While many of us are Hoosiers, some of CCA's staff were born abroad or have spent significant time building relationships with those of other cultures. Many of our staff speak multiple languages or are actively learning to communicate better with those whose first language is not English. These are all essential skills as we work more closely with central Indiana's immigrant communities.
Affiliations and Community Partnerships
We connect to learn and grow
Our staff participates in various statewide and national groups to understand today’s trends in early care and education. We also have a variety of credentials and memberships that demonstrate our dedication to growing our knowledge in the early childhood field.
